Kiwi Kids News Article

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be sharing with you my Cybersmart activity. Our class had to go onto Kiwi Kids News and look for an article to answer questions about. I picked "Meet the Dog with the Longest Ears." We had to read the article and then answer the questions before. There were the recall questions and the thinking questions. After we had to write a 10 word summary that relate to the article. This is my work and I hope you like it. Please don't forget to comment, I'll really appreciate it if you also give some advice if you can. Ciao!

Meet the dog with the world’s longest ears.

Recall Questions

1. Who is the main person or group of people in this news article? Lou the dog.

2. What was the key event from the news article? Last week Lou’s ears were measured at 33.5cm long, which is long enough to beat the previous record.

3. Where did this event take place? American Kennel Club.

4. When did this event take place? September 26 2021, my birthday.

Thinking Questions

1. Find a quote from the main person in this news article? Olsen said she always knew Lou’s ears were “extravagantly long”

2. In your own words describe what happened in this news article. This news article tells people about “Lou” the dog with the longest ears and Lou’s ears are 33.5cm long.

3. Find out where this event took place and include some information about this place. American Kennel Club. They are the world’s largest and oldest not-for-profit all-breed registry.

4. Tell us when this event happened and explain what might happen in the future. This event happened on Sep 26, 2021(my birthday). I think that Lou would win like a thousand medals and get way more famous even though she is a dog.

5. Explain in your own words why this event took place. I think that the event was written because Lou’s owner thought that she could get famous and they could get a lot of money.

10 word summary:

Paige, American Kennel Club, Lou, Ears, 33.5cm, Competitor, black, tan.

  1. Konnichiwa Sadiyah,
Thanks for sharing your work with us. I like that you have explained the task. This was a reading task originally but it's definitely important to remember our safe cybersmart skills each time we are online. Well done. Keep up the fantastic work!
