Blue Box Activity

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be telling you about one of my reading activities that everyone in my class can do. It is called the Blue Box. There are a lot of different colours, there is Sky, Ocean, Mist, Lime, Turquoise, Yellow, Amber, Orange, Tan, Coral, Sunset, Red, Mauve, Lavender and Silver. It goes easy to hard. Guess what colour I'm on? I am on the third colour of the rainbow which is Yellow! When we started to do Blue Box I wasn't here so that's why I am really low and I was expecting to be on Tan or Coral but it is OK. Anyway, each colour there is 10 different cards and I am deciding to go from 1-10 because it is way more easier. Then there is a lot of answer sheets so first you read the story, next there is 20 questions so you have to answer them in your answer sheet on your Chromebook. When you think you are done you grab the right answers and check if your answers are right. (You have to be honest). The answers you get right, you have to highlight them green and the answers you get wrong you highlight them red. Thank you for reading readers. Feel free to ask any questions.

Kawa Care charging Your Chromebook

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. In our class we have been learning about Kawa Care. If you don't know what that is, it is taking care of your Chromebook. There is a lot of ways to take care of your Chromebook. Like.....don't eat beside your Chromebook, don't leave your Chromebook on the edge of a table if you are sitting a one, always charge your Chromebook before you go to sleep, don't leave it on the floor because someone can step on it, always zip your Chromebook case when you are out of the house, especially when it is raining and lucky last, if you have a case with no pockets for your charger don't put your charger on your keyboard, it's just going to break. If you do one of those things and you send it away to the people who fix devices, they can easily tell if you have done some of those things. If your device it dirty and the keys are picked off then they won't give you any insurance. Here is a picture of me remembering to put my charger on before I go to sleep.

Snapshot, Show, Don't Tell

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. We have been trying to finish this story in our class and I is finally finished. This type of writing is Show, Don't Tell. Show, Don't Tell is that you have to show your feelings and not tell them. For example: I am so scared. That is telling your feelings. You will find the showing part in the story. Hope you enjoy.

On Tuesday, I went on a hike with my friends at Castle Hill. Castle Hill is a place

that is right next to the snowy mountains. When we went there, there was a lot

of mud and we kept slipping. It had a lot of dry and tall grass. We call them forests.

There were also a lot of little cliffs and graves. That is where we went. My friends were

off and they didn’t tell me that there were dead bodies behind me! When they started

to run I asked them “why are you running”? But they couldn’t hear me. When I looked

behind me, I SCREAMED! I started trying to sprint like a cheetah and couldn’t stop.

I couldn’t believe my eyes and had pterodactyls in my stomach. My arms were swinging

to my face then down to my pockets, my heart was beating really really fast like an

untamed, galloping and wild horse. There were a bunch of dead heads and dead bodies

walking towards me.  I felt like I wanted a gun and shoot them, I thought that day was

the end of my life. My feet were paining and trying to keep going, it felt like it needed

a good massage. I had sweat all over my body and couldn’t close my mouth. I felt like I

was in my brother’s 800 metre stadium and I had to beat him. He felt like he was going

to faint and I felt the same. My feet were covered in mud and sweat. My chest was

hurting and I thought I needed my asthma pump, I couldn’t breathe properly. I tried to

be calm and just not worry about it but I couldn’t, they were ZOMBIES! I mean how can

you not forget that you have Zombies behind you. That was the scariest day of my life.

ScartchJr Game

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. We had a special guest come in called Emma and she taught us how to use ScratchJr and how to create a game on it. It was really fun. She also taught us how to program our sprites which is the characters and how to debug things. I felt so excited and I think I am going to make one at home and challenge my brother on it. Here is a Screencastify of me playing the game.

You have to press the rocket to move it down so it doesn't touch the other sprites. If it touches one of the sprites it will explode. Feel free to ask any questions.

The Present Story

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. We have been working on The Present story and we finally finished. I am the dog in the story. Hope you enjoy.

Ooh, I think I heard some shooting but I can’t see it because I’m inside a very very dark box. I hope the girl or boy is going to play with me a lot. The mum must take me out of the box. Now I hear some talking, It sounds like the mum telling the boy or girl something. I see some light, I think they are opening the box. At least one of my legs survived in the box. They hurt so much and they are cramped. Who cares? Yes! It’s a boy! His mouth is smiley and he looks surprised. I think he saw my leg and likes it. Why is his eyebrows scrunched up? He also looks angry. Ahhhhh! He threw me. Why did the boy say “she’s gotta be kidding me?” That's very rude of him. THUD! OUCH! That hurt you know. It doesn’t matter, I will try again. Can we please play? He kicked me again and said “get lost!” But wait, that scratch feels so amazing. Wait is that a ball over there and even better it’s red. It is so round and shiny. It looks like a clown's nose. Can we at least play with this instead of your stupid TV. Ooh, he’s kind of playing with me because he kicked the ball instead of throwing it and he looks mad. You know, who cares, I’m going to be the fastest dog in the world and get the ball. Wait am I in the tiny and dark box again. Wait, no ones holding me so that means that I trapped myself. Ahhhhhhhh! That boy probably doesn’t care though. Ok, let’s try to get out of here. Ouch that hurt, please can someone get me out of here….. finally I see light but where’s the clown’s nose. Oh there it is. Is he looking at me? Oh, I’m pretty sure that he wants to play with me. Let’s go then, why do I keep falling so easily? Ok, we are here, do you want to play with me? While he is thinking about it I’m going to make sure I don’t have any itch’s because I don’t want to waste my play time. I got it right! He grabbed the ball and that means that he wants to play with me. He is really smiley too. He has a missing leg like me, great we have the same kind of legs and we are best friends! What is he doing and what are those yellow things? Is that crutches? Yes! He is playing with me and outside is the best place to play. Let's just push the door open for my beautiful friend. I want to play fetch, thank you. This is the best day of my life!

Vocabulary

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be telling you about one of the reading activities that we have to do and that is vocabulary words. Those are words of the week. For this week we had Hesitant and Elated. First thing we have to do is right the word down, next is right the meaning of the word, then a synonym of the word, then you have to use the word in a sentence and last thing is you have to  put a picture from google. Hesitant means uncertain or undecided, synonym is unsure or doubtful, the sentence is "I am hesitant if I'm going to my cousins house or not". The picture is

Next word, the definition of it is happy and joyful, the synonym is thrilled and exhilarated, the sentence is "I am elated to go to my cousins house", the picture is

and that is my vocabulary for this week. Is there any advice?
