Swimming

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be telling you somethings about swimming so far this week. We swim at Canterbury Swim School. What I like about swimming is learning how to swim on my back because then I can breathe. What I don't like about swimming is swimming on my front which is called bubble bubble breathe because I can't breathe and I keep having to stop. I did not achieve my goal because I CAN'T BREATHE ON MY FRONT. My favorite thing about swimming is swimming on my back. That's all I wanted to share with you. Ciao!

For/Against Statements

Today I will be sharing with you what we did for persuasive writing. Our teacher sent us a document that had 3 boxes. She told us that we had to choose 3 statements and write  them in the boxes. In each of the boxes it said "I think... (Enter) Because... (Enter) My evidence:" Then we had to write the statements but we had to leave the My evidence behind because we had to find all the evidence after. The statements that I chose were Dogs are better than cats, PS4 is better than Xbox, 12 year olds should not be allowed to drive. I hope you understand what I mean and here is my work. Kiwi Kids News Article

Today I will be sharing with you my Cybersmart activity. Our class had to go onto Kiwi Kids News and look for an article to answer questions about. I picked "Meet the Dog with the Longest Ears." We had to read the article and then answer the questions before. There were the recall questions and the thinking questions. After we had to write a 10 word summary that relate to the article. Transformations Video

Today I will be sharing with you my transformations video that I had to do for math. First I had to write a script for the video. I had to include what we learnt about and the different kinds of transformations. Then I had to find a buddy, my buddy was Angel. We recorded each others video. I used my lip balm as my prop. Angel Helps a Pregnant Megalodon

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog, This term we have been learning to write Narrative Stories. The purpose of a narrative story is to entertain people and make them want to keep reading more. First we had to make a plan about our story. Then we had to make a document and and figure out what the title was going to be. After that we had to write our whole story. We had to include our 5 senses, similies, personification, a setting, characters, an orientation which is a beginning, Build-up-Events, a problem, a resolution and an ending. My favourite sentece is "Angel and Blue had an extremly vigorious connection." One of the things that I could improve on would be to make sure that the other words will make sense in the sentence. Each paragraph is a page in the story. Anyways this is my story, I worked really hard on it so I hope you enjoy. Please don't forget to comment I'll really appreciate it. Ciao!

In the year of 2021, 2:00 in the morning, it was summer, 22 degrees celsius. There was a 10 year old girl named Angel and a professional photographer named Jordan.

 They both decided to visit an ancient and superannuated island called Mako Island. Angel could smell the salty sea water and feel the cushy sand. She thought that Mako Island was such a splendid place. Angel is resplendent like a flower, sweet like love and warm hearted like summer. Angel is also a professional gymnast. 

She was taking photos with Jordan, of Angel’s gymnastics. First they decided to take photos on the cushy sand because they didn’t want to get soaked yet.

Then after a while Angel and Jordan started to get as absolutely blazing as hot chocolate. Angel decided to do some gymnastics in the water. She wanted to do a split handstand in the water but the hard part was that she had to hold her breath, and open her eyes so she could take a good photo. It was really blurry for her and it was stinging her eyes. She couldn’t hold her breath for long so she blew a little bit and she could suddenly taste the salt. 

 Angel turned her head to take another gorgeous photo but then she caught sight of something in the distance in the water. She thought it was just a tiny fish but once it started to swim to her rapidly. Angel’s eyes were wide as Momo’s eyes. She saw huge teeth that were the size of her palm and the nose that was the size of her head. 

IT WAS A MASSIVE MEGALODON!!!

She was so panicked. She hurried out of the water as fast as she could. Jordan asked, “What’s wrong, why do you look so shaken?” Angel said to Jordan, “I just saw a freakin’ megalodon!” At first, Jordan didn’t believe her but Angel dragged Jordan to the water to make him have a look for himself.

The megalodon knew that Angel was frightened so it began to calm down and make faithful noises. She started to see that the megalodon was as friendly and gorgeous as coral but as fearful as an abandoned dog. 

“You’re not going to bite me are you?” she asked as she slowly approached the megalodon. Angel decided to name it Blue because Angel didn’t know if it was a girl or boy. “Right, your new name is Blue, ok?” Blue impatiently made a noise because she wanted Angel to help. Angel got a little frightened when Blue opened its mouth because Blue was trying to tell her something. 

Angel told Jordan that she wanted to hang out with Blue for a wee bit so she could find out what was wrong. Jordan went to rest on the sand and check out the photos and post them on Angel’s instagram. The photos were as delicate as a wedding. 

Angel and Blue were trying to communicate with each other because Blue was trying to tell her that she was in PAIN but Angel couldn’t comprehend it. Blue started to make more ardent noises. Angel started to think that Blue was damaged somewhere. Angel looked up and  that the sky was getting tired and the leaves were getting hyper because the branches were smacking each other. 

She told Blue that she would assist her tomorrow so Blue made an ‘OK’ noise and swam away slowly in the abyssal blue sea to her cave (the moon pool). Angel said to Jordan “We need a really deluxe sleep for Tuesday because it was going to be a really long day.” Angel and Jordan paddled to their houses and ate a big dinner and her dinner was really appetizing. She licked her fingers and went to sleep.

Tuesday morning arrived. Angel hurried to Jordan's house and told him to get in the boat and Angel will call the vets on the way. When Angel and Jordan arrived at Mako Island, Blue was already there.

 “Hey Blue, what’s wrong?” Angel questioned impatiently. Blue made an anxious noise willingly. Blue made a really panicked noise and Angel could somehow understand that Blue was in more strain. Angel went up to Blue peacefully and stroked it mildly. She could feel the sandpaper skin that Blue had, she saw a big bump on it’s belly then bustled up to Jordan.

 Angel finally worked out that Blue was a girl. “Jordan, Jordan! Blue is having a baby!” Angel exclaimed impatiently. “What! How do you know?!” Jordan clamored to the water. “Because I saw a big bump on her belly and the bump wasn’t there yesterday.” She explained clearly. 

The vets finally arrived at the right time. The vets were terrified of Blue but then Angel told them that Blue is really affectionate and peaceful and she is friends with her. “How long have you been friends with Blue?” The vet questioned Angel. “I met her yesterday,” Angel said. “Then was the bump there yesterday?” The vet questioned again.  “No, I didn’t see anything,” Angel said. So the vets started to investigate. 

When the vet touched Blue near her belly she whined, the vet was as anxious as a mouse when Blue opened her mouth. Angel tried to tell Blue to push and Blue finally could understand her, Blue was really focused. Angel and Blue had an extremely vigorous connection. 

Angel was so aghast for Blue because Angel could tell that Blue was in the most pain that she had ever been in and Angel was sorrowing so hard, but she knew that the vets could handle it. Angel kept telling her that it was going to be okay. Then Blue was suddenly calmer.

After 30 minutes Blue was certainly getting brave and Angel was so relieved when the baby megalodon came out. Blue was saying “Thank you so much” in her really cute voice. The baby megalodon was a boy but she didn’t know what to name him. 

“Thank goodness that we didn’t think it would've been as bad as we thought it was going to be.” Angel said, relieved. “Yeah, I agree,” Jordan agreed with Angel. Jordan was taking photos of everything the whole time and all the pictures were clear. “Now we can see the pictures again and remember what happened at that special moment.” Angel suggested. 

“Do you have any name ideas for the baby?” Angel asked Jordan. “No, do you?” Jordan asked back. “I was thinking Magaladoo.” Angel suggested. “Ooh, I like that, it’s cute and funny.”Jordan agreed with Angel’s name idea. Anyways they all lived happily ever after.
