Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,
I had to draw survival shoes for the desert and then I had to label the parts of the shoes. We had to do this because we have been reading the book Holes. This is my work and I hope you like it.
I am a Year 6 ākonga/student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. My kaiko/teacher is Whaea Miki. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful, and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,

It was dark and it was 4 in the morning, when I finished brushing my teeth in the pond I made a little fire for the food that I would find. I went for a long wander and I saw a big, ancient treehouse in the massive trees. I heard silence so I wanted to go in but I didn’t know how to. I started to get a little creeped out so I wandered around, I finally saw an entrance. There was a petty door but it was closed. I knocked on the scrubby door and it opened by itself! I was really getting creeped out. I used all my energy to get into the shrimpy little door. I shuffled in and there were no people. There was a frazzled old couch and hoary curtains. There were sticky and decomposed fruits from the animals that had been in the treehouse. My dark brown eyes could see a wooden table with a wooden chair. The table and chairs had scratches and knife marks on them. There were nightmarish spiders and spider webs on the corners of the treehouse. It was really icy because of the cold air. The crown of the treehouse was really furry so the rain would infuse in. The wood was dusky and drenched because of all the rain that got in. There was a picture above the frazzled couch with 2 men. They were wearing cowboy hats and had fishing rods. They had big dirty boots and their clothes were wet and dirty. I continued peeping around. After a while I got out of the tree house and continued hunting for food. I found a dead deer. There were so many flies around the deer's eyes. I got out my special small knife and cut the deer. I got a perfect amount of deer for myself. I scurried back to my tent and I roasted the raw deer over the fire. I patiently waited, after a while the deer was cooked. I bit, chewed, and swallowed the food. I really liked it so it was really worth it. It was really hard to find it because it was a half an hour walk. It was getting dark and I already forgot about the treehouse so I drowsed to sleep. I was ready for the next adventure tomorrow.
Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,
Today I will be showing you something about Matariki. We had to make a word collage about Matariki. We had to put a background relating to Matariki. The different words had to be in different fonts. This is my work, hope you like it.
Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,
In our class we have been learning about Matariki, we had to make a mind map about Matariki. We had to answer questions about Matariki. The questions were, how many stars are there? What are the names of the Matariki stars? What you do during Matariki? What you could eat during Matariki? What does Matariki mean? When Matariki is? Who is the legend of Matariki? i think there were 2 more but I can't remember them. I answered the questions and this my work, hope you like it.
Hello readers and welcome back to my blog,
In our school there were a few other school that came for the Student Summit. Few kids from each school have come to the student summit. We had to fill a form of which sessions we wanted to go to. We could go to 4 sessions.
The first sessions I picked was in the gym, the presenters were from Saint Bernadette School and we were learning how to use Book Creator I already knew how to use it, that's why I went.
The second session I picked was in the board room, the presenters were from Hornby High School and we were learning how to use Scratch I thought it was going to be Scratch Junior but it was just called Scratch. I didn't know how to use it so it was worth it.
After that we could eat morning tea, I had a big one.
The third session I picked was in the board room again, the presenters were from our school, Hornby Primary School and we learnt how to use Scratch Junior this time. I already knew how to use it so that's why I picked it and also I knew who the presenters were.
The fourth session i picked was in the gym again, the presenters were from Wigram School and we learnt how to make a quiz on google forms. I didn't know how to make one so it was worth it. We just had to go on our drive and press "New" then press google form, blank form. Then do the rest from there.
