Student Summit

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Our whole class get's to do Student Summit so we are really lucky. Student Summit is really fun, there are 4 sessions and there are different presentations. There is Mihi Maker, How to use Prezi, Bitable, Canva, Pixton Comics, Suped-up Slides, Easel.ly, Stop-Motion, Storyboard That, Marvellous Miro, Embedding Blogs, Creative and Unscreen and Removed. There are a lot. We had to press on the link that we were in and then it would take us to google meet. There will be 2 or 3 people that will be talking and teaching and those people made their presentation. After we are done the meet we have to fill out a reflection, like a form. We have to right in it what we think of it, how they made it to teach us, when we will use the toolkit and what they can do to improve it.

1.Session 1 was Mihi Maker, the people that made Mihi Maker was Mikaylah and Taimana. I really liked that one because they teached me how to make a pepeha and remember it. I think they made a animation. They did make 1 tiny mistake and that was spelling, they spelled figure into finger. For the first question, I said I like it, for the second, I said with a animation, for the third  I said when I am ready to make a pepeha and for the last I said just fix the finger word.

2. Session 2 was Easel.ly. The people that were making this presentation were Grace and Abby from another school. Easel.ly is a really cool app, you can make posters or anything. I really liked that one because I can do that now when I get bored. For the first question I said I really liked it, for the next I said they went on Easel.ly, for the third I said when I am bored and for the last I said nothing.

3. For session 3 was Embedding Blogs, I really liked it because I can do more stuff to my blog, and they didn't make any mistakes.

4. Session 4 was Mihi Maker again so I said the same things. I don't know why I got into the Mihi Maker again but I am really pleased to do the Summit.

My stories are The Three Little Pigs and The Three Little Bears. We had to right everything that has three things in it. Like the porridges, chairs, beds, bears, the pigs, houses and materials. Hope you like them and feel free to ask any questions.

Term 3 Holidays On Tuesday

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be telling you about my amazing Term 3 school holidays. On the last week of the school holidays I went to a lot of places from Tuesday to Saturday. We went to a lot of fun places with my cousins. On Tuesday we went to The Antarctic Centre to see the cute penguins and the snow husky's. The husky's were really hyper and energetic. They were so fluffy and we got to touch one of them. There were 3, the husky colours were.... one was kind of ginger, and there was 2 white and black ones. We got to see the ginger husky play with the owner in the snow place. As soon as he got untied from his leash he started running like a cheetah all around the place. There were 2 yellow quart bikes ad we took a lot of pictures on them. After a while the husky needed to pee and we saw its pee. It was disgusting and yellow. Anyway, There were a lot of penguins and penguin bones there. Most of the penguins were rescued. The penguin pro went inside the penguin place and we got to see her feed them, while she was feeding them she told us the names and how they got rescued or how they found them. She told us what they are like so if they are deaf, blind or scared of people. It was really cool over there. When we were getting back to our car we saw people going for rides in truck rides and we begged our mum if we could go. Guess what, She said yes! So we got into the truck and the driver said be careful for your head. One of my cousins bumped his head, he he. His name is Asheem and the other is Ahyan. The driver said hold tight, this is going to be a bumpy ride, he also told my sister, Siddiqah, to sit right at the back facing the doors. She wanted to sit by my mum. When the ride started we knew why she had to sit at the back. It was really bumpy and dangerous. We went on a huge ramp, on tyres, we went on wood but it was only for the tyres of the truck. We bumped our heads a lot of times but we survived. We had a little bit of time to play around so we went on the huge smooth hill and we saw the 3 huskys sitting in their cage. My brother, Saad got a great picture of one of the huskys face. Ok, that was the first day of fun. The next is going to be on another blog post. Feel free to ask any questions.

                                     - Kakapo healing blends the effort of scientists rangers, volunteers and givers to protect the critically

endangered Kakapo.

  • You can do health checks, controlling  the predators and feeding and hand raising.

Spelling

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing with you my spelling that we have been doing in class. There are 7 activities that you can do. The one that you have to do is right 10 words and practise them. First one is Silly Sentences. You have to right a silly sentence that includes some of your words that you have to learn. Next one is Colour Your Word. You have to colour your word in different colours. Next one is Chop It Up. You have to right your words and then chop it up in syllables. Next one is Vowel Hunt. You have to write out your spelling words then colour the vowels your favourite colour. Next one is Add It Up. Now this one is confusing because you have to add numbers up, that's what we do in maths right, the vowels are 5 points and the consonants are 10 points. Then you have to right down a word, for example, brother, it would be 10+10+5+10+10+5+10=60. That's how you do Add It Up. Lucky last, Flash It Up. You have to write your words in a artsy or fancy way. I didn't do this one because I forgot but I hope you like the others that I did. There is another Blog Post that shows you the slides so you can check that out. Feel free to ask any questions.

Genially

Hello readers and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing with you my Genially work that we have been doing in class with the Polar bears. It is about Character Descriptions. Our story is Cinderella. We had to find any picture and then put it on Genially. Then we had to get the plus button and write evidence from the text that describes the characters. The characters I did were Cinderella and her stepsisters. If you just press the arrow on the right then you will see the stepsister picture. Here is Mine.
